Product Description

Fitherm® GX-f is a graphite based intumescent product for the most challenging tasks. In case of fire, Fitherm® GX-f expands to multiple times its original volume and forms a heat-isolating shield. Particularly, Fitherm® GX-f achieves the highest char stability compared to other intumescent products. During expansion Fitherm® GX-f builds up very high pressure.

Fitherm® GX-f builds up a very effective barrier against fire and smoke. Fitherm® GX-f is especially developed for applications, where high expansion volume and pressure in combination with the stable char are required. Fitherm® GX-f is a halogen free product. Fitherm® GX-f strips bear a black glass fiber clothe on one side in its basic form and can be laminated with a PVC foil in different colors or other materials.

Fitherm®  GX-f is developed for a wide range of applications where an intumescent material is necessary to maintain the system integrity and insulation in case of fire.
These systems are for example:

  • fire dampers in ventilation systems

  • pipe penetrations and cable transit systems

  • fire doors and shutters

  • partition walls

  • glazing elements, ceilings and floors

  • fire safes and document cabinets

  • air grilles

  • letterbox systems

Fitherm® GX-f should be stored under room conditions. During handling and processing the wearing of protective gloves is recommended.

Fitherm® GX-f available as flexible rolls in the following standard dimensions:

Thickness: 2mm;
Width: 10mm, 15mm and 20mm;
Length: 10 and 25 meters with or without self-adhesive backing. Other measures on request.

Lamination with PVC foil in different colors is possible. Encapsulation into uPVC in different colors is optional in a width of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 60mm.
